What is Boudoir Photography?
Boudoir photography has been around for many years and is typically known as the sultry, soft, romantic and sometimes naughty shots that are conducted both in the studio and more recently on location, of themselves either in lingerie or semi/mostly nude.
A lot of women do boudoir sessions for their partners as a special gift to be given on their wedding day, anniversary or birthdays as a present that partners rarely expect and are definitely surprised at when they receive them. Most of my women that come to me, say their partners would never expect them to do such a session, that this is out of the ordinary for them, and I love the reactions they tell me when their partners are handed the albums.
Boudoir has also become very popular as a way to empower and allow women to embrace their bodies in all shapes and sizes. This is mostly why I created this business. I love seeing women find their confidence, their happiness in themselves and their bodies, and that it evokes strength and power within them. Many times I hear women say, “Is that really me?” And, “Wow I can’t believe I’m beautiful, I look hot!!” And they walk out of the studio with that extra pep in their step, confidence and love towards themselves. I think all women should feel this sexy and empowered.
